Hey there, Kat Klub!! It wouldn't truly be Christmas without a speedily-made Jazi cover, would it? This isn't the type of song I usually cover as often anymore, but I thought it would be fun to put my own spin on it in the spirit of the season. I definitely had a lot of fun dressing up for it! I hope you're all having a wonderful season no matter what you're celebrating and I'm wishing everyone a happy new year~

This is soooo late, but better late than never, right? May was filled with mostly streaming things, since that's what I'm basically doing full-time for the moment. Behind the scenes, I've been working on a lot of stuff that will be showcased in June…
Well, happy Spring! I got pretty behind, didn't I? I've been doing a lot behind the scenes a focusing a lot on my Twitch channel, but I have some exciting updates for the near future AND some stuff to cover from April!
Well, oops, I already skipped December, but to be fair I was busy with the holidays and there wasn't much to update on aside from this one cover. Anyway, I'm back for January and excited to share what I did this month!!
Hello Kat Klub!! It's time for another monthly update! This one is a little late, but I needed to think more about how I wanted to word everything because there was a lot to reflect on. I'm titling this "Shine Bright & Don't Die" so we can all learn from my mistakes.
So my major event this month was ILLUMINATE... Hello Kat Klub!! I want to start doing monthly blogs to help you all stay up-to-date on my activities from all my channels as well as various irl and online events in other places. So, here's the first one and we'll see how this goes!!
October started off busy for me, as I jumped immediately into preparing a set for Series Ai after my trip at the end of September. I had a lot of the footage done earlier, but I had an ambitious Halloween video idea I was determined to get done for the show! Meet Violet Virtue: your alien guide to the future!
This is my character from my new narrative/music project Project V² X. The prologue video "A Message Through Time" premiered today! This is an open, worldwide collaboration project that is actually still casting on a rolling basis (in case you're interested, find us on social media). Hello everyone! I hope you're having a month as good as it can be under the current circumstances of the world right now. I shared on Twitter that I was under quarantine for a while my housemates recovered from Covid-19. In that time, I worked on two music videos for my holiday single! Usually I only do an MV for the main track, but since I was making one MV in my bedroom I figured I might as well make two!
"Inside" released last Saturday and the entire holiday EP (featuring my cursed companion Jolly Devil) is available now on Bandcamp! You can also find the MV on YouTube (premiering 12/21). The video for "Get Decked" will be releasing on Christmas Eve! Please look forward to it and subscribe to my YouTube channel so you don't miss it! I hope you have a wonderful season no matter what holiday(s) you're celebrating and if you're celebrating alone, with friends/roommates, or family! I personally celebrate Yule (Winter solstice) and Christmas, what are you celebrating? Ever since I finished my Star Trek uniform last year, I've had the chance to wear it for both conventions and LARP scenarios. In both situations, bags can be annoying. I usually tote around my pink ita bag backpack at conventions, and I found that it wasn't exactly ideal with this costume. I wanted something that could hold the essentials while looking like it belonged with my costume, so I decided to make a utility belt! I made this right before my first 10-hour Trek-inspired simulator experience in March (before intense social distancing rules were put in place.) I wanted to share my process because this is a very simple design that anyone can make, as long as your machine will sew through leather fabric. This design uses a simple webbing belt and features interchangeable pouches.
The one thing that does complicate this process is that using leather means you can't make any mistakes in the sewing, as each stitch will leave behind holes. If you're a beginner, you could opt to use a heavy woven fabric instead that is a little more forgiving. Make sure any fabric you use is very sturdy, because you don't want to be walking around an event and have any of your pouches tear. Total time: ~3 hours (if you include all the sketching and struggling with measurements!) Definitely set aside a good chunk of time to avoid rushing too much, but this could probably be made in under 2 hours if you're quick at visualizing and making patterns. Hello everyone! I'm here to announce the release of my new EP 1 2 3 on May 8th!
This is the first original release under the name "Jazi Kat" rather than just "Jazi" and I think the change in There will be a music video for the title track up on my YouTube, and all 3 new songs (plus 3 instrumentals) will be available on Bandcamp! Don't want to miss the release? Be sure to set a reminder for the premiere! You can see the premiere page here. And while the MV is usually the part everyone gets most excited about, make sure to check out the other tracks available on Bandcamp. If you just can't wait, you can pledge $10+ to my Patreon (18+ only) and get access to all 3 tracks right now. Thanks for supporting me! |
